The length of the second-phase panel warehouse is 140 meters, with a panel width of 12 meters, a total casting area of 64,645.15 square meters, and a casting volume of 54,996.71 cubic meters. By reasonably increasing the input of resources and equipment and scientifically arranging the concrete casting sequence in the warehouse, MSW has ensured the smooth connection of each process. So far, the slipform lifting speed has been increased from the original 0.8 meters per hour to 2.7 meters per hour, which is 1.2 meters per hour higher than the design standard.

During the construction of the first-phase panel, to ensure the smooth progress of the panel construction, the project team adopted the method of "sunshade net + rainproof tarpaulin + steel wire rope tying" to reinforce and cover the ultra-long chute, ensuring the quality of the concrete entering the warehouse. Additionally, innovative techniques were used to control the temperature throughout the process. Insulated trucks were used to control the transportation temperature, "primary air cooling + secondary air cooling + water cooling + ice cooling" controlled the temperature at the outlet, mist cannon machines sprayed the warehouse surface to control the ambient temperature, and "plastic film + geotextile + fiberglass blanket" triple covering reduced surface evaporation of the concrete, lowered the temperature difference between inside and outside, and controlled concrete cracks. These measures provided valuable experience for the second-phase concrete casting.

The project is scheduled for completion in October 2026. Upon completion, the total reservoir capacity will be 1.148 billion cubic meters, with a maximum flood discharge flow of 4,319 cubic meters per second, and a total installed capacity of 750,000 kilowatts, with an estimated average annual power generation of 1.893 billion kilowatt-hours. By effectively regulating the runoff of the Kumalak River, the project can ensure the total supply target for production, living, and ecological water of the Tarim River mainstream. It will alleviate the spring drought and water shortage of over 8 million mu of farmland in the Aksu River irrigation area, improve the irrigation guarantee rate, reduce the flood control burden of the Aksu River basin, provide power supply for regional economic and social development, maintain regional social stability, implement the "Belt and Road" initiative, benefit the border areas, enhance national unity, and achieve the overall goal of long-term stability and peace.
